About Us
The Office of Research Compliance at the University  of New Mexico provides independent oversight of UNM's research compliance programs, activities and processes. The Associate Vice President for Research Compliance , who reports to the Vice President for Research is responsible for coordinating and monitoring these programs to assure that UNM is compliant with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as University and UNM policies. The Office is committed to adhering to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and responsibility.


Mission Statement


The Office of Research Compliance is dedicated to advance a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies which govern institutions of higher education through awareness programs, monitoring and responding to non-compliance. Our commitment to compliance includes the development of general and specific training, policies and appropriate oversight and monitoring to assist members of UNM’s community in conducting research activities based upon the highest standards of integrity and excellence through teamwork and professionalism.
